SISTER ACT

November 3, 2017 - February 24, 2018
On the Main Stage

Sister Act, this feel-amazing musical comedy smash was hailed, “A jubilant triumph,” by the Star Tribune and “A heavenly must-see!” by the Pioneer Press after a successful run that began back in 2015.

Featuring all-new original, lush and infectious songs by 8-time Oscar-winner, Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Little Shop of Horrors, Newsies), Sister Act tells the hilarious story of Deloris Van Cartier, a wannabe diva whose life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses a crime and the cops hide her away in the last place anyone would expect – a convent! Set around the Christmas holidays, Deloris helps her fellow sisters find their voices as she also rediscovers her own in a sparkling tribute to the universal power of friendship.

Many of the original cast members are returning to thrill and delight audiences!  Artistic Director Michael Brindisi shares, “There’s no doubt about it; this is a feel-good crowd-pleaser. They took a good movie and made it into an even better Broadway musical with a fresh, funny and fast-paced story and big glitzy musical numbers that will make people want to get up and dance.  With this astoundingly talented cast, we’re totally excited to ‘rock the rafters’ once again with this happy and uplifting show. And honestly, Sister Act is exactly what we need right now!”
