We Can Be Heroes - The David Bowie Tribute
Featuring Julius Collins
Friday/Saturday, October 19 & 20
Dinner - 6:00pm
Show - 8:00pm
This extraordinary night of live music, starring Minnesota phenom Julius Collins and some of the greatest musicians in the world, will celebrate the life and genius of David Bowie in a concert setting.
As a teenager, Bowie’s dream was to write musicals. Five decades later, more than 60 albums, 25 movies and a hit Broadway musical in "Lazarus," his impact on music and culture is irrefutable. Described by Rolling Stone as “the greatest rock star to ever fall to this or any other world,” David Bowie blazed a trail in music, fashion, art and, most of all, self-expression.
Starring dynamic and versatile Twin Cities vocal talent Julius Collins, We Can Be Heroes will dazzle with inspired fashion and some of Bowie’s greatest works including “Let’s Dance,” “Young Americans,” “Starman,” “Heroes” and many more.
The show features Ryan Smith of Soul Asylum and Jacob Hanson on guitar, Sonny Thompson of The New Power Generation on bass, Steve Jennings on drums, Cory Eischen on keyboards, support vocals by Katie Gearty & Rachel Holder — all under the music direction of Prince’s longtime bandmate and drummer, Michael Bland.
